A logbook service is a comprehensive service that examines your vehicle in the way that the manufacturer intended.
Many of our customers tell us that prior to bringing their vehicle to us for servicing the new vehicle dealer had led them to believe that they must service their new vehicle with one of the manufacturer's authorised dealers otherwise their vehicle warranty would be void.
This is in correct and stating otherwise would contravene “the trade practices act”. This was first highlighted in the ACCC's (Australian competition & consumer commission) “consumer express” publication in April 2005, issue 1445-9671.
To put the record straight, the dealer cannot declare a warranty void if the buyer has the vehicle serviced by someone else. AUTOSERVICE can service your new vehicle and stamp the log book, your new vehicle warranty will still be valid.
